Reading your ingredients is Extremely Important!  Knowing what is in your food and what it does to your body is essiential in your journey to good health.

It is VERY important to begin reading the ingredients on the foods you buy.  Here are just a few of the ingredients to avoid.  We will be updating and adding to this list in the near future.  Please contact us with any questions.

Aspartame (Artificial Sweetener)

-Aspartame accounts for over 75% of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA.  Many of these reactions are very serious including seizures and death.  A few of the 90 different documented symptoms listed in the report as being caused by aspartame include:  Headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue , irritability, tachycardia, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss, and joint pain.

Hydrogentated/Partially Hydrogenated (anything)

– These oils go through a manufacturing process that adds molecules to the molecular structure in order to allow the oil to be solid at room temperature.  This manufacturing process creates a structure that is completely foreign to the body.  The body is then unable to metabolize (break down and process) this ingredient and more often than not stores it as fat.  This toxic ingredient is also know to clog arteries.

High Fructose Corn Syrup (Artificial Sweetener)

-This is a huge controversy at the moment.  HFCS is an engineered sugar that bypasses the metabolic process.  This means it is very likely to get stored as a fat.  Recently HFCS has been directly linked to the obesity epidemic by an in-depth study done by Princeton University.  The corn industry is trying very hard to save its reputation by misleading consumers.  Regardless of what these sources say, my thoughts on it are that it is very bad for you, and is the worst form of sugar available, so my advice is to avoid it all together.  Unfortunately this is a big shift.  Numerous products contain this ingredient, so there will be a lot of food and condiments int eh fridge and pantry that you will be tossing out.

Monosodium Glutamate (Taste Enhancer/ Excitotoxin)

MSG is a chemical designed to excite the sense of taste (excitotoxin).  Unfortunately this often causes the neurons within the brain to overload leading to the destruction of those neurons.  Overtime this destruction can build up and cause many neurological disorders such as Migraines, Absent Mindedness, Negativity, Anger, Lack of will power and many others. This ingredient needs to be completely avoided.

Sucralose (Artificial Sweetener)

-This Artificial sweetener is another very sneaky ingredient that has made its way into our food supply.  Sucralose (aka Splenda) is a Clorocarbine and is VERY toxic to the body.  Studies have shown major liver damage, kidney calcification along with damage effects to genetics, and the endocrine, nervous and immune systems.

Potassium Sorbate/Benzoate

Bleached flour

-Bleach = Bad for human consumption

Enriched flour

-Enriched = Genetic or lab modification
